Nuclear Medicine Technologist Nuclear Medicine Responsibilities Under the direction of a qualified physician, administer radioactive materials and operate nuclear medicine equipment to perform imaging, laboratory, and dynamic function studies that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients throughout the life cycle, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Requirements Possesses NJ State license in nuclear medicine. Possesses a working knowledge of scintillation cameras and related computers. Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with other departments within the hospital, attending physicians, and other hospitals. Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with extremely ill and/or irritable patients. BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
