Machinists I and II 3-5 years CNC machining experience.

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Responsible for producing machined parts by loading and unloading raw material into machines, setting up CNC Mills and/or Lathes, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Machine parts to specifications using CNC machines.
2. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of math and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
3. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments onto machines.
4. Setting up machines, pick tooling.
5. Adjust and enter edits to programs by entering instructions.
6. Load and unload machines with raw material.
7. Deburr and examine parts for quality checks.
8. Measure and test units using precision instruments.
9. Monitor the machine during the machining process
10. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
11. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
12. Troubleshooting malfunctions.
13. Complete production and quality logs.

Knowledge and skill requirements:

1. Basic reading and writing of English and some advanced mathematical skills.

2. High School Diploma

3. Basic computer skills

4. Advanced blueprint reading (incl. GDIT)

5. Strong attention to detail

6. Cannot hire candidates with felonies

PREFERRED Swiss Lathe experience
