Per Diem Paraprofessional (Instructional Aide)

Are you passionate about helping students learn, grow, and succeed? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Paraprofessionals (Instructional Aides) to provide on-call support in school classrooms throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
This flexible opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact while maintaining a variable work schedule based on school needs.
What You'll Do
• Provide classroom support under the direction of certificated teachers
• Work one-on-one and in small groups with students
• Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Reinforce classroom lessons and learning activities
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, field trips, and classroom transitions
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization
• Encourage student growth through patience, guidance, and positive reinforcement
What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree, completion of 48 college units, or paraprofessional exam completion preferred in accordance with California requirements
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, adaptable, patient, and student-focused individuals
Requirements
• Compliance with California paraprofessional qualification standards
• Successful background clearance (Live Scan fingerprinting)
• TB clearance
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required by the district
Schedule
• Per diem / on-call assignments
• Flexible scheduling based on district and school-site needs
