PCU RN - Night Shift (4x12)Location: Anchorage, AKAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: Night shift, 4 days on and 12 hours each day (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM).Job Description: We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients requiring continuous monitoring but are not in a critical condition. The PCU RN will work collaboratively within a team that includes a Virtual RN and a CNA to ensure the best outcomes for patients with diverse needs.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and assess patient conditions and report any changes.Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.Work collaboratively with a Virtual RN to coordinate care plans.Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic charting system.Participate in discharge planning and assist with admissions.Support and educate patients with a variety of medical conditions including cardiac and respiratory issues.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Alaska or pending application for AK RN license.Must have Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a similar setting is required.Experience with cardiac telemetry, respiratory management, and post-operative care preferred.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
