Production Supervisor

Overview The Production Supervisor guides and supervises the production of molded door skin at the facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production to deliver a quality, cost-competitive, environmentally friendly product in a safe and timely manner. Operations include chip handling, energy plant, refining, drying, pressing, board trimming and coating. This is a 24/7 operation with rotating days off; 12-hour continental shift, rotating from days to nights. Responsibilities Ensuring the safety of the workforce. Supervising production safety, quality, and delivery. Supervising hourly workforce to meet facility objectives. Development of operational processes and procedures. Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives. Researching modern technologies and alternative methods of efficiency. Perform quality controls and monitor production requirements. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 3+ years' experience in a leadership position in manufacturing. Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, and continuous improvement activities. Lean Manufacturing experience and background certification is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience managing in a non-union environment preferred. Experience in a multi-opening press door skin facility preferred. Ability to work a rotating shift (swing shifts) in a 24/7 continuous operation. Bilingual is a plus.
