Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Summary The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality service delivery. This role involves coordinating procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships to meet organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement and Supplier Coordination Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues as they arise. 2. Inventory Management Track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing costs. Implement inventory control systems to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. 3. Logistics and Transportation Coordinate transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery. Monitor shipping schedules and resolve delays or disruptions. Optimize transportation costs while maintaining quality service. 4. Supply Chain Analysis Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate supply chain performance. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 5. Collaboration and Communication Liaise with internal teams (e.g., sales, production, and finance) to align supply chain activities with organizational goals. Ensure clear communication with stakeholders regarding order statuses, delivery timelines, and any potential issues. 6. Compliance and Documentation Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar role. Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Preferred Skills Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Knowledge of industry-specific supply chain practices. Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM). Experience supporting companies in equipment leasing, construction, waste management, or industrial services industries. Work Environment Office-based with occasional travel to supplier or logistics partner locations. Fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making and adaptability.
