Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical travel position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, working night shifts with Epic EMR experience required.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting — 629-bed short-term acute care facility, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Medical/Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:5
• Charting is performed in Epic (required)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required as needed
• Floating between units and between sister facilities within the state is expected — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling is not required
• Teaching hospital environment

Requirements

• Active WA state or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, cardiac monitoring, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers and candidates with 1 year of experience are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem/registry) must disclose the location and dates of employment
• Former permanent Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility are accepted at a different rate
• All RNs may wear any color scrubs
• Parking is available at no cost
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront — post-offer RTO may not be approved
• No fee for parking at the facility
