We are a small, friendly crew of guys around 30 years old looking to bring on another crew member.

The crew consists of myself, Mitch Mallett-Hiatt, the business owner; Gavin, our lead carpenter; and AJ, our journeyman carpenter. My dog Willow joins us on framing and outdoor jobs, or whenever possible.

We like to work hard and have a good time on the job. We are carpenters who are skilled in many aspects of construction and are involved throughout the entire process of the job. We do a lot of remodels, additions, decks, and new builds. We use high-quality tools and are well equipped for the jobs we do. Our favorite job types are framing, decks, and patio roofs. We typically finish our projects with trim and tile. We try to avoid drywall and paint work.

You'll be learning from young guys who are smart, with a good amount of experience. We're looking to train someone up to work with us for years and do really cool projects. We are not interested in someone looking for a simple summer job. Either you're in or you're out. The goal is to train you up to run your own crew in 5 years. Everyone wants to be their own boss — except the guy who actually does it. This position gives you the best of both worlds: the ability to build your own crew and keep the tool bags on as long as possible, without the headache of administrative BS.

Job Requirements:

You must be 18 years of age or older.
You will need a valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation.
You must speak English; Spanish is a bonus.
You must be in good shape to work hard in the heat and the freezing cold for 10–12 hour days. We prefer to work four 10–12 hour days and take Friday off to F off. If you're not back by Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. sharp, you're gone.
You must be able to pass a background check.

Pay:

When we're doing base trim and I yell "19 5/16 inch strong, from a left straight cut with a relief to a short point of a 45.5 degree outside miter" and you understand exactly what I said and you cut it within a 64th and you do that all day long then you're worth $26/hr as a cut guy. If you have no idea what any of that means, you're $16/hr and I will teach you. 

If you pull out your phone for any reason other than recording an expense, family emergency, or taking project photos/anything related to the project you're at $18/hr. 

If you sit down at any point other than lunch, you're a punk and you're gone. 

Liability:

If you do something really dump on a jobsite and break something then you're paying for it. If you're just doing your job and made an honest mistake then no sweat. 

Don't cut off your finger, you might need that.
