About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience; Minimum 2 years CVPICU experience required. License: Current unrestricted nursing license. Certifications: AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience. Description: The role requires a registered nurse with specialized experience in pediatric cardiovascular ICU. Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a current nursing license. Previous experience as a staff nurse in a pediatric cardiac ICU is essential. Experience as a charge nurse is preferred. Candidates will be expected to care for infants and pediatric patients. The unit has a daily census of 24 patients and consists of 24 beds. A strong skill set in managing a wide range of patient needs is necessary. Key skills include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and care of ventilated patients. Nurses will also administer medications and handle complex medical procedures. Candidates must be adept at working in a fast-paced, critical care environment.
