Your work will directly impact product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Utilize advanced CAD software to design and create tooling and dies tailored specifically for deep drawing applications, ensuring they meet stringent specifications and production requirements. You will fabricate components using various machining techniques, including milling, grinding, and electrical discharge machining (EDM).Skillfully prepare and set up automated and manual stamping presses for production runs. This includes aligning and securing dies, adjusting settings for material thickness and type, and ensuring consistent operation to achieve optimal quality and production rates.Implement and adhere to rigorous quality control procedures. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of both tools and the metal parts produced, utilizing precision measurement tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to ensure compliance with tolerances and specifications. Document any deviations and collaborate with quality engineers to rectify issues.Execute routine maintenance and repair work on tools, dies, stamping machines, and ancillary equipment to enhance their lifespan and efficiency. Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues as they arise, using diagnostic tools and your extensive knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Work closely with product design engineers to discuss tooling design modifications and improvements based on production experiences. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to address production challenges, ensuring that tools and processes align with evolving project requirements.Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation of tooling specifications, maintenance schedules, and production logs. This will include creating detailed reports on tooling performance, material usage, and production yield metrics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles to propose and implement enhancements to tooling designs and production processes.
