Speech And Language Pathologist
To work with parents, students, and staff in order to prevent, identify, evaluate and remediate a wide range of oral communication problems, including articulation, voice, fluency and language disorders.
Job duties include consultation, in service training, pre-referral, screenings, referrals, data collection, report writing, developing IEP's, caseload management, direct remediation, consulting on academic and social issues, documenting progress, collaborating with teachers, and completing records for special education funding.
Education requirements include an Illinois Certificate with Speech and Language Pathology endorsement, a Speech Language Pathologist License, and a Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology.
Physical demands include working in noisy environments, prolonged sitting or standing, and occasional physical exertion.
Terms of employment are for a nine-month position with a starting salary of $60,689.
