Stock Controller

We don't just stock brands, we build platforms for them. Role We're looking for a meticulous, hands-on Stock Controller to manage inventory across our tm:rw store in New York. You'll be responsible for making sure the right stock is in the right place at the right time — keeping the shop floor fully merchandised, backroom organised, and inventory records accurate, so brand partners and customers always see the store at its best. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role at the heart of store operations. You'll work closely with the store team, the wider Smartech operations function, and our London HQ to keep inventory tight, discrepancies low, and replenishment fast. What You'll Be Doing Inventory Management Manage day-to-day stock control for the NYC store, including receiving, checking, and processing deliveries Maintain accurate inventory records across all systems, flagging and resolving discrepancies quickly Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts, investigating and correcting variances Monitor stock levels and proactively flag low stock, slow-moving lines, or replenishment needs Store Operations Ensure the shop floor is consistently fully stocked and ready for trade, replenishing from the backroom as needed Keep the backroom and stockroom organised, clean, and safely laid out Support the store team with product knowledge on availability, incoming deliveries, and stock locations Process returns, transfers, and damaged/faulty stock in line with company procedures Brand Partner & Launch Support Coordinate stock intake and setup for new brand partner launches, activations, and campaigns Work with brand partners and suppliers on delivery schedules, product allocations, and stock issues Support visual merchandising updates by ensuring the right stock is available and accessible for displays Provide regular stock reports and updates to the Store Manager and London HQ operations team Identify and escalation shrinkage, loss, or process issues, and help implement solutions Work closely with the Retail Project & VM Manager to align stock availability with store layout and campaign changes Support wider store operations and act as an additional pair of hands on the shop floor when needed What We're Looking For You might come from a retail, warehouse, or logistics background — what matters most is that you're organised, accurate, and comfortable owning inventory in a fast-moving store environment. We'd love to hear from people who have: Experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations, ideally in a retail setting Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to counting, checking, and record‑keeping Comfort using stock/inventory management systems and POS software Good physical stamina — this role involves lifting, moving stock, and being on your feet Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced retail environment Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach with store and brand partner teams A proactive, problem‑solving mindset when it comes to discrepancies or stock issues Availability to work onsite, in-person, at our New York store #J-18808-Ljbffr
