Overview Registered Nurse – Charge, Acute Care (Travel) in Geneva, NY Start date: 07/20/2026 | Duration: 14 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,249–$1,299 per week | Guaranteed hours: 14 contract weeks | Shift: Part-time, 2x12-hour shifts with day/night rotations; every other weekend; holidays as needed | Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (travel temporary assignment) Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing across all age groups
• Conduct triage, establish priorities, and perform primary and ongoing assessments; document changes in condition and respond to deteriorating status
• Manage both invasive and non-invasive procedures and interventions appropriate to emergency care
• Coordinate patient flow, assist with diagnostic procedures, initiate referrals for post-emergency care, and educate patients and families on discharge care
• Demonstrate relationship-based care to alleviate anxiety, address pain, and support safety; communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team
• Lead and mentor team members as appropriate, delegate tasks within scope of practice, and ensure infection prevention standards are maintained

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in New York (NYS RN Licensure)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI)
• Experience: Two (2) years of acute hospital RN experience; at least one (1) year in an Emergency Department setting
• Education: RN degree required; state licensure active and in good standing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ED/acute care environment and participate in day/night rotations and on-call shifts as specified
