PEPI Manager - Merger Integration & Carve-outs (Open to all US locations) Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm with over 10,000 entrepreneurial, action and results‑oriented professionals in over 40 countries. A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice focuses on serving upper middle market and large‑cap private equity firms to improve operating results at their portfolio companies. This role is part of A&M PEPI’s Mergers, Integration & Carve‑outs (MI&C) team. Merger Integration & Carve‑outs : Broad experience in leading complex, high‑profile deals across the full lifecycle, from pre‑deal operational and synergy reviews to ‘Day 1’ planning and post‑deal implementation. We manage due diligence (commercial, operational), Integration Management Office, synergy, TSA, integration planning, Day 1 Readiness, and post‑close execution. Responsibilities (Manager) Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs, supplementing standard assessment techniques with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations. Lead workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, Organizational Design. Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution and driving performance improvement, with focus on strategic planning, operational optimization/consolidation, back‑office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, customer and channel management. Actively drive performance improvement assessments and oversee implementation of recommendations. Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as required. Qualifications 5‑8+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management. Experience in integration planning and divestitures (a plus). Experience leading one or more work streams in a business transformation. Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Finance & Accounting operations; HR/Organizational design; Role and Job Analysis; Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement; Communications planning and management; Supply Chain/Operations; Salesforce effectiveness; Marketing optimization; Pricing/Margin/Mix optimization; Knowledge Management and Transfer; Program management and leadership; Design and execution of internally focused and externally focused change/communications strategies. MBA preferred. Excellent oral and written communications skills; initiative, drive, critical thinking, flexibility. Flexibility to travel at least 75 % of the time.
