Sage GroupHealthCare Staffing is seeking Behavioral Registered Nurses for multiple travel/ contract positions in Hopkinsville, KY. Accepting both local and travelercandidates.

Position Name: Travel Registered Nurse Behavioral Health

Start Date : ASAP

ContractLength: 13 weeks-Accepting Local and Travel Candidates

Pay Rate:Range $1900 to $2052 weekly Gross pay (Non-taxabletravel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s

Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 7p – 7.30a or Days, 7a - 7.30p

Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, Every other weekend,Blocked schedule available

Position Requirements

• Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
• Recent/Current Inpatient Acute PsychiatricNursing or Behavioral health experience: 1 year – Required
• Recent/Current experience andcomfortable working with Adolescents (4-18) and Adult patientpopulations - Required

Education, Licenseand Certification Requirements

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
• BSN or an equivalent – Highlypreferred
• RN License for State of KY orCompact - Required
• HWC (Handle with Care) Certification- Preferred
• BLS Certification from AHA orAmerican Red Cross - Required

Job Description

• Provide and coordinate care byassessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Working in the assigned units includingAdolescents (4-18) and Adult Behavioral Health units.
• Develop and implement nursingcare plans.
• The RN will maintain medicalrecords and educate patients and their families about various physical andbehavioral health conditions.
• The RN will provide nursing careand services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as definedwithin the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, andprotocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensure physicians’ orders arelegible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy andprocedure.
• Ensure patients’ status isassessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered anddocumented.
• Notify physicians of significantchanges in status
• The RN will ensure that initialnursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursingtreatment plans are specific to assessed needs.
