Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Location

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice across assigned pediatric specialty areas
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols
• Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as required
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable floating across pediatric specialty units
• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
