Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer specializing in echocardiography to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies. This role requires expertise in imaging, appropriate certifications, and the ability to work independently within a clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms, including standard and transesophageal (TEE) procedures.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in two dedicated rooms and a holding area.
• Prepare and position patients for exams, ensuring accuracy and comfort during procedures.
• Document imaging results accurately within EMR/PACS systems such as EPIC and Philips.
• Collaborate with radiologists and cath lab RN staff to coordinate stress echos and other specialized tests.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain unexpired licenses and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARDMS certification with specialties in AE and PE, or equivalent credentials.
• Have RCS, RDMS, RDCS, or RVT certification, with experience performing cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies.
• Possess current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate ability to perform 15-20 studies daily in a fast-paced setting.
• Be capable of utilizing EMR and PACS systems efficiently.
• Be able to start IVs if required; team up with RN staff for stress tests.
