Position Overview The world needs innovators and problem solvers who turn challenges into greater opportunities, especially on tunneling projects. By joining us as a Global Sr. Tunnel Engineer you’ll work on the planning, design and construction of tunnels and other underground structures. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy – Develop and implement national strategies for tunnel engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards. Project Management – Oversee the planning, design, and execution of large‑scale tunnel projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Technical Expertise – Provide expert guidance on complex engineering challenges, including geotechnical analysis, structural design, and construction methodologies. Team Development – Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and industry partners to build strong relationships and secure new business opportunities. Quality Assurance – Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures. Research and Development – Stay abreast of the latest advancements in tunnel engineering and integrate new technologies and best practices into projects. Here’s what you’ll need To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of an appropriate educational background, extensive experience, technical proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills. Qualifications Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Experience – Minimum 15 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Technical Skills – Extensive knowledge of tunnel design and construction, including TBM, NATM, and cut‑and‑cover methods. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, and TunnelCAD. Leadership Skills – Strong leadership and team‑management abilities, with a proven track record of leading successful projects and teams. Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences. Problem‑Solving – Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $210,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
