Work setting Rural area Willing to relocate Responsibilities Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development Cultivate on vertical farming system Cut agricultural crops Develop specific plans to prioritize Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots Greenhouse cleaning Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions Organize tasks to accomplish the work Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts Tie and secure plants Weeding Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Maintain financial and production records Negotiate with clients for provision of services Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain quality control and production records Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations Maintain work records and logs Hire and train staff Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Supervision 11-15 people 16-20 people Credentials First Aid Certificate Pesticide Applicator's Licence Experience and specialization Type of crops Cucumbers Equipment and machinery experience Automated irrigation system Sprayer or duster Tractor Additional information Transportation/travel information Own transportation Own vehicle Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Physically demanding Combination of sitting, standing, walking Own tools/equipment Safety equipment/gear Steel-toed safety boots Gloves Personal suitability Organized Team player Other benefits Parking available Who can apply for this job?
