Quality Control Manager

Job Description

Quality Control (QC) Manager in a metal manufacturing company is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, processes, and finished metal products meet required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001 compliancy)
Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) , root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Supervise QC inspectors and technicians
Work closely with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to resolve quality issues
Maintain calibration of measuring and testing equipment
Lead internal and external audits
Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering or at least 10 years exp. (or related field)
Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing processes (precision sheet metal, machining, welding, outside process etc.)
Experience with measurement tools (3D computer scanner, calipers, micrometers, calipers, NDT methods)
Familiarity with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis)
Leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and communication abilities

Experience preferred:

5–10 years in quality control or manufacturing.
Prior experience in metal fabrication, automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry is often preferred
