Senior Communications & Public Relations Coordinator

Corpus Christi, TX | Full-Time | Hybrid

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Communications & Public Relations professional to manage client projects, communications, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement for our client in Corpus Christi. 

This is a senior-level role for someone who can take ownership of assignments, manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and keep projects moving with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

• Manage multiple client projects, assignments, and deadlines
• Develop and prepare professional communications, reports, presentations, and other written materials
• Coordinate community outreach and public engagement efforts
• Communicate directly with clients, community leaders, public officials, and other stakeholders
• Attend client and community meetings, document key information, and manage follow-up
• Research local issues, industries, infrastructure projects, and community concerns
• Support public relations, media relations, social media, and strategic communication efforts
• Identify problems, recommend solutions, and keep projects on track
• Coordinate and delegate tasks when needed
• Represent the company professionally at meetings, events, and community activities

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, public affairs, community relations, stakeholder engagement, marketing, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions
• Ability to lead projects and delegate tasks
• Professional and confident when working with clients, executives, public officials, and community members
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, and digital communication tools
• Knowledge of local government, public affairs, industry, infrastructure, or community relations is strongly preferred

Schedule

• Full-time, hybrid position
• Openings available in Corpus Christi
• Local travel required as needed
• Must be available for occasional evening meetings and weekend events

Who Will Do Well in This Role

We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be told every next step. You should be comfortable taking a project, figuring out what needs to happen, communicating with the right people, solving problems, and following it through to completion.

This is not an entry-level administrative position. Candidates should have professional communications experience and be comfortable taking ownership of client-facing work.
