CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist III - 2nd Shift at our Irvine, CA facility! This role is a 2nd shift position, with core hours between 2pm - 10:30pm Monday - Friday.The hourly rate for this position is $34.00 per hour.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently recruiting for a Machinist III to set-up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools such as engine lathes, mills, CNC Machine, CNC Lathes, drill presses and deburr experience.Perform operations such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring on a variety of work requiring a degree of skill while ensuring dimensional accuracy is maintainedCreate setups and operate CNC machine to a specific program as per part number and work instruction sheet via utilization of DNC (direct numerical control) link on computerWork from drawings and specifications using a variety of prevision measuring instrumentsRead and interoperate engineering drawings and have an understanding of Geometric ToleranceWork under general supervision; work is subject to progress and final inspection• Inspect work after completed as well as complete all appropriate inspection paperwork• Skilled on both lathes and Mill/Turn 5-Axis• Rotate to various types of machines in order to be competent in their operation• Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous Improvement• The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates• Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.• Perform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionA minimum five (5) years’ previous work experience as a MachinistMust have Lathe experience 2-3 axisNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
