Switchboard Operator

Full time |$14-16/ hour | Opelousas Area

We are seeking a professional and dependable Switchboard Operator to join a busy office in Opelousas. This position is responsible for managing a high-volume multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments, and providing excellent customer service to callers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional phone presence, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Answer and manage up to 8 busy phone lines
• Transfer calls to the appropriate extensions and departments
• Provide accurate information and assistance to callers
• Maintain professional telephone etiquette at all times
• Handle incoming calls efficiently and courteously
• Assist with general administrative duties as needed
• Ensure messages are relayed accurately and promptly

Requirements:

• Previous switchboard, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple phone lines simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and phone etiquette
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities

Schedule:

• Monday & Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: Rotating Hours

Pay:

• $14-$16 per hour
