Bodw
Bodwé is the Professional Services Group of Mno-Bmadsen, the investment enterprise and a wholly owned instrumentality of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. We are architects, planners, consultants, designers, engineers, scientists, and federal contractors, committed to growing the economy and legacy of the Pokagon Band and supporting its more than 6,000 citizens. We provide value by integrating expertise across the natural and built environment lifecycle—from pre‑development and planning to design, procurement, construction, and operations. By integrating expertise across architecture, engineering, construction, and facility management, we deliver holistic, end‑to‑end solutions that drive efficiency and deliver distinctive outcomes. Please note that this opportunity is contingent upon contract award. It is 100% onsite at the FBI J. Edgar Hoover Building in D.C. The start date is 6/1/2026 through 5/31/2031. Position Summary The FBI requires the on‑site assistance of a Senior Architect to assist with fulfilling the design and construction requirements of the AESU team. This role will provide architectural services, including preliminary planning, feasibility studies, functional studies, conceptual designs, development of design intent documents, and technical review of construction documents for renovation and construction projects. Construction estimating and review, project facilitation, and inspection services during construction may also be necessary. Accommodation Requests We are committed to providing access, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment. If a reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, contact our HR Director (April Hawkins) at View phone number on click.appcast.io or View email address on click.appcast.io. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following is an in‑exhaustive list of duties that represents a sample of work routinely performed by this role: Act as a consultant in the establishment of design standards and criteria for construction projects. Prepare stacking plans to accommodate functionality and adjacency requirements. Prepare blocking plans, schematic or conceptual designs, and design intent drawings in AutoCAD. Ensure drawings comply with the Bureau’s Program of Requirements (POR), Campus Design Guides, and Construction Standards. Perform design reviews and submit comments in required format. Ensure that drawings and specifications submitted to the FBI for review comply with POR requirements. Manage design of projects throughout the project lifecycle, from programming to post‑occupancy, including building and maintaining relationships with end users, local teams, subject‑matter experts, and other Bureau personnel. Perform construction administration duties such as reviewing and answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, producing field reports, walking the site to verify accuracy and compliance of construction with drawings and POR requirements, participating in the creation and close‑out of punch‑list items, and more. Review proposals, documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and ability to meet POR requirements, and provide comments and/or recommendations as necessary. Provide support in the development and evaluation of project schedules. Maintain knowledge of recent versions of the International Building Code and Commentary (IBC), the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), and all pertinent federal accessibility standards.
