Job Overview Supply managerial oversight of the manufacturing facility’s utility systems and building infrastructure. Responsibilities include capital planning & execution for these systems, daily operation and maintenance functions, and managing annual capital and maintenance budgets. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, implement and report the capital budget for utilities and building infrastructure. Provide managerial oversight and technical support to facility‑managed capital projects. Coordinate strategic facility and maintenance strategy related to utilities and building infrastructure. Develop and implement process improvements and infrastructure projects. Assist in manufacturing strategic planning. Lead the engineering/maintenance technical team (~70 FTEs) and oversee personnel costs. Plan, supervise and schedule all utility systems and building infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal utilization of facilities and personnel. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and government laws, attending meetings with state and federal representatives as needed. Establish and maintain departmental systems and procedures for productivity improvement of the utility/building infrastructure maintenance unit. Interpret and enforce contract terms uniformly across maintenance personnel. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food processing industry managing diverse technical staff and capital projects. Experience with utility systems, refrigeration, construction, government regulations, and Process Safety Management (PSM). Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, and results orientation. Demonstrated ability to develop and recommend annual budgets based on plant leadership input. Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Food Processing, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Civil) or a related field is preferred. Additional Requirements Manage an annual capital budget and a maintenance & repair budget, including personnel costs. May be responsible for Supply Chain initiated projects.
