Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience and prior travel experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Circulating experience Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care in the operating room setting. Candidates must have experience as a circulating nurse. The position may include both scheduled shifts and on-call responsibilities. Call is required for general surgery and emergency procedures. Candidates will perform a variety of surgical procedures including but not limited to appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and cesarean sections. Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is preferred. Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols is essential. The Operating Room RN will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment are necessary. The role may require the management of patients of various age groups including adolescents, adults, and pediatrics. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic, is required.
