About the Role:

As a Bartender at The University Club of Memphis, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve a variety of beverages, ensuring that each drink meets our high standards of quality and presentation. You will also engage with customers, providing exceptional guest service that enhances their overall dining experience. This position requires you to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple orders while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the success of our establishment by fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Resume and previous bartending experience in a fine dining or high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in bartending or mixology.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Engage with members and their guests to provide excellent service, take drink orders, and offer recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, replenishing bar inventory, and restocking supplies.
• Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible serving practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
