PLACERVILLE UNION SCHOOL DISTRICTCLASSIFIED JOB DESCRIPTIONBUS DRIVERDEFINITION:Under general supervision to operate a school bus over designated routes to transport school children; to assist in keeping assigned school bus in clean and safe condition; and to do related work as OF DUTIES:Drives a school bus daily over designated routes in accordance with time schedules picking up and discharging school students and teachers on field trips to various locations following District bus prior to operation for safety bus clean and reports mechanical order among school children on established district policies and regulations regarding disciplining of children and contact with parents and other daily records on assigned route and bus the courtesy of the road driving in a safe and prudent manner as determined by road conditions and first aid to :Possession of an appropriate California operators license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.A Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate and or CHP test equivalentA California Highway Patrol permit to operate a school QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:Safe driving aid of the California Motor Vehicles Code and Education Code applicable to the operation of vehicles in transporting school to:Operate a school bus exercising good judgment and safety order among children on a school a designated bus route bus stops and District traffic and carry out oral and written cooperative relationships with students parents and :One year of general driving :A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements: Possession of an appropriate California operators license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate and/or CHP test equivalent and a California Highway Patrol permit to operate a school bus. Before hiring takes place the candidate will be required to take an Employee Entrance Evaluation test to determine if candidate has the physical strength to perform the essential tasks of the job.
