Deputy Quality Manager

The Kratos Cyber Deputy Quality Manager will work under the direction of the Kratos Cyber Quality Manager to ensure the Quality Management Systems (QMS) remain compliant with ISO 17020, American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Cyber Accreditation Body (Cyber AB), and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements. The Kratos Cyber Deputy Quality Manager will be responsible for:

1. Maintaining the QMS repositories, verifying necessary resources are available to staff, uploading final versions of files to the correct location, archiving previous versions, and notifying staff of new or updated files.
2. Creating and updating QMS resources (standard operating procedures, documents, templates, checklists, and other documents as required) to ensure alignment with Kratos Cyber quality objectives and compliance with governing bodies.
3. Managing the Corrective Action Request process starting with identification of a nonconformity, conducting root cause analysis, collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop corrective actions, conducting effectiveness reviews, and reporting status.
4. Monitoring and maintaining tracking logs to ensure next steps for corrective actions, preventative actions, appeals, and complaints are completed within the established timeframes.
5. Monitoring feedback mailboxes, logging appeals and complaints, and escalating to the Quality Manager when needed.
6. Scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes, and ensuring meeting artifacts are stored in the appropriate QMS repository.
7. Creating and maintaining annual quality plans.
8. Participating in external and internal audits.
9. Participating in monthly quality roundtable meetings and annual management review meetings.
10. Conducting QC reviews of customer-facing deliverables.
11. Monitoring and communicating ISO 17020, A2LA, and Cyber AB document updates.
12. Other duties as assigned.

• 2-5 years years previous Quality Management experience
• Regulatory focus with an understanding of ISO 17020, ISO 17025, ISO 27001 or other regulatory standards
• Demonstrated experience working with quality management systems, IT compliance, or service improvement in an auditing, IT, or cybersecurity organization
• Strict process-orientation with strong attention to detail
• Advanced Word and Excel skills, documentation management and editing skills
• Confidence and resilience to hold assessment teams accountable to strict internal methodologies, even when faced with aggressive client or business timelines.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of federal frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, CMMC)
• Previous experience with:
  • 3PAO, C3PAO or SOC2 audits
  • Corrective Action - Root Cause Analysis
  • Audit and inspection discipline
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)
  • Working with inspection bodies, such as A2LA or Cyber AB
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) frameworks
• Certifications, such as Six Sigma, ASQ, ITIL, PMP, CAPM or other related certs
• Technical writing

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
