Job Summary Join Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital/MGB in Dover, NH as a per‑diem Speech Therapist. This position requires a minimum of 12 hours per month on weekends (two days), with additional hours as coverage needs increase per census. Summary Acute‑care experience required. Two weekend days per month are required. Preference is given to candidates with at least one year of prior experience in this setting. Essential Functions Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies to improve communication. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required. Licenses And Credentials New Hampshire Speech‑Language Pathologist license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) – American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A) – American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association preferred. Experience Speech pathology experience and acute care experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech language. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures to perform services independently. Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech‑language pathology scope of practice. Understanding of implications of new information for current and future problem‑solving and decision‑making. Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations.
