Product Lead- Collateral
$129k - $239kNASDAQ OMX
Product Lead – CollateralAbout the RoleNasdaq is seeking a Product Lead – Collateral to drive the development and growth of products in collateral services that work across Nasdaq Digital Liquidity networks. This role sits at the center of Nasdaq's Digital Collateral Ecosystem, combining traditional and tokenized collateral to deliver next-generation collateral management capabilities to buy-side and sell-side clients. The Product Lead will define and execute the product strategy that connects Nasdaq's Calypso Collateral Network, Canton Network connectivity, and DeFi/digital gateways, enabling clients to manage collateral across TradFi and DeFi environments with CDM-based smart-contract workflows for CSA exposure calculation, margin calls, optimization, and DvP settlement. Why This Role Is ImportantCollateral is fundamental to capital efficiency, liquidity, and risk mitigation across capital markets. As markets move toward tokenized and digital collateral—including stablecoins, tokenized securities, and money market funds—Nasdaq is positioned to lead the transformation of how collateral is mobilized, optimized, and settled. The Product Lead will be responsible for turning this vision into commercially successful products, ensuring Nasdaq's collateral solutions meet evolving client needs, regulatory expectations, and the demands of an increasingly digital market infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap: Define, develop, and position collateral product solutions in line with Nasdaq's strategy. Translate client and market needs into product requirements and roadmaps spanning traditional and digital/tokenized collateral, collateral optimization, eligibility and allocation logic, and connectivity across the Calypso Collateral Network and Canton/EVM environments. Work closely with FinTech product strategy to develop digital assets network services.Execution & Delivery: Manage all aspects of product execution—from scoping (products, legal agreements, collateral assets, custodians, growth opportunities) through target operating model design, business requirements definition, solution validation, UAT, and pilot/pre-production to production launch—ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Stakeholder Management: Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with Technology, Product Delivery, Data, Operations, Sales, Legal, Risk, and Compliance. Support Sales and Relationship Management in client discussions and onboarding, and represent Nasdaq in industry working groups and client forums related to collateral and digital-asset innovation.Risk, Regulatory & Commercial: Ensure a strong understanding of risk, regulatory, and control requirements applicable to collateral, digital assets, and algorithmic components. Contribute to pricing, business cases, and go-to-market activities, and communicate collateral risks and product performance to senior stakeholders.Skills & ExperienceThe successful candidate will bring 5–7 years of relevant experience across product management and collateral-related domains within financial services, with demonstrable depth in the following areas:Collateral Management (Core Competency)• Deep understanding of the end-to-end collateral management lifecycle, including margin call issuance and response, collateral movements, substitutions, disputes, and settlement.• Strong command of margining, haircuts, eligibility rules, collateral concentration, and counterparty exposure management.• Hands-on familiarity with collateral management systems and platforms (e.g., Calypso, Colline, Acadia/Margin Manager, TriOptima/TriResolve).• Experience with collateral optimization and mobilization strategies to improve funding efficiency and capital usage across TradFi and digital collateral.Triparty Services• Solid understanding of triparty collateral management flows and the roles of triparty agents, custodians, and clearing banks.• Knowledge of bilateral, triparty, and sponsored collateral structures and how collateral is allocated, held, and optimized across them.• Awareness of the operational and technology requirements needed to support triparty connectivity and interoperability.Securities Services• Understanding of custody, asset servicing, settlement, and fund administration and how these functions interact with collateral operations.• Experience and expertise with the securities lifecycle from trade through settlement and the associated market infrastructure.• Appreciation of how securities services underpin collateral eligibility, mobilization, and client servicing.Repo• Working knowledge of repo markets, financing structures, and collateral types used in repurchase agreements (bilateral, triparty, and sponsored repo).• Understanding of GMRA documentation from an operational and collateral management perspective.• Awareness of relevant regulation impacting repo and financing, including SFTR and Basel III/IV, and their implications for collateral practices.Securities Lending & Borrowing• Understanding of securities lending and borrowing markets and how securities finance desks operate.• Familiarity with the GMSLA framework and associated legal documentation from a collateral perspective.• Knowledge of the collateral implications of securities financing transactions, including eligibility, margining, and reuse.Additional Valued Skills• Experience in digital assets, tokenization, or DLT-based solutions, and understanding of ongoing market trends in crypto and tokenized assets.• Business design leveraging algorithms, data, and AI concepts (business-level, not developer).• Strong analytical, structuring, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing relationships with senior executives and clients.• Fluent English; additional languages an advantage.Education & Experience• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; an advanced/graduate degree is preferred.• 5–7 years of experience within the financial sector, spanning product management and one or more of the collateral domains outlined above.• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous. This position will be located in New York City or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.Come as You AreNasdaq is an equal opportunity employer.
