Job Summary:
The operating room open heart (OR OH) specialist position is located in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves supporting the cardiovascular operating room team with open heart procedures, including CABG, AAA, TAVR, and valve replacements. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and have a current acute care cardiovascular operating room technician experience. The shift is day hours, and candidates are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Aurora, Colorado
• Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Minimum Qualifications: Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), DORA, and National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA); current acute care cardiovascular operating room technician experience with at least 1 year in a hospital setting; prior experience traveling as a CVOR Tech in large trauma facilities; proficiency in Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech experience, experience working as a traveling CVOR Tech in large trauma centers, cardiovascular procedure experience.
• Responsibilities: Supporting open heart surgeries, maintaining sterile environment, handling specialized cardiovascular equipment, and assisting with procedures such as CABG, AAA, TAVR, and valve replacements.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Must be willing to float within 25 miles of the facility when needed. Call requirements will vary based on staffing needs and will be discussed at the interview. No weekend shifts are required.
