Deburr OperatorThis role focuses on deburring and hand-finishing metal parts according to blueprint requirements to ensure high-quality, precision components. You will remove excess material, break edges, and clean parts while following detailed instructions and performing quality checks. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and effective communication in a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesDeburr and hand-finish metal parts in accordance with blueprint specifications and quality standards.Clean excess material from finished products to achieve smooth, accurate surfaces.Break edges and remove sharp burrs from metal components to ensure safe handling and proper fit.Read and interpret blueprints to understand part geometry, finishing requirements, and tolerances.Perform quality checks on parts to verify that they meet dimensional and visual requirements.Inspect finished components for defects, inconsistencies, or remaining burrs and rework as needed.Follow verbal and written work instructions accurately and consistently.Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve issues.Adhere to all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while handling tools and materials.Essential SkillsProven experience deburring or hand-finishing metal parts or other hard materials.Ability to read and interpret blueprints to guide deburring and finishing work.Strong attention to detail to identify and remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material.Capability to perform visual inspections and basic quality checks on finished parts.Strong communication skills to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support shared production goals.Reliability and willingness to work mandatory overtime as required by the production schedule.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with inspection processes in a manufacturing or production environment.Familiarity with deburring tools and equipment used on metal components.Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced production setting.Why Work Here?You will join a production environment that values precision, teamwork, and consistent quality. You will work with metal components and deburring tools, performing tasks such as breaking edges, cleaning parts, and conducting quality checks. The role follows structured shifts with mandatory overtime: schedule operates from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory Friday overtime from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Pay starting at $20/hr. The environment requires adherence to safety procedures, consistent use of appropriate work attire and protective equipment, and the ability to remain on your feet while handling parts and tools throughout the shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
