Art Director

The Art Director for Origins (Global) defines and safeguards the brand’s visual language across campaigns and touchpoints worldwide, while guiding a creative team to deliver cohesive storytelling across digital and physical channels. Location New York, NY. Hybrid work arrangement with three days in the Soho, NYC office. Compensation Salary range: USD 137,000 to 170,000 per year. Responsibilities Articulate and advance Origins visual identity and creative standards, translating the brand origin story, philosophy, and formulation principles into a contemporary visual language with digital priority. Guard and steward Origins visual world and brand aesthetic across all touchpoints. Develop mood, tone, typography, color systems, and frameworks for art direction. Ensure consistent application of Origins visual identity across social, digital, retail, packaging, and print channels. Create and communicate creative concepts for seasonal campaigns, major initiatives, and product launches. Translate brand strategy into seasonal concepts and campaign narratives. Establish a strategy for scientific storytelling aligned with Origins' innovation. Direct art direction with in-house teams and external agencies for paid and organic social content, web, CRM, paid media, print/OOH, retailer environments, launch campaigns, brand moments, and future packaging design. Oversee photographers, videographers, designers, and other creative partners. Lead a compact, dynamic creative team including Social Media Design, Digital Design, and Copywriting. Own the delivery of all visual assets required for campaigns and brand planning. Steer the evolution of creative strategy through research, references, and cultural awareness. Collaborate with design and production teams to execute deliverables efficiently. Manage external agencies and freelance creatives when needed. Develop an organized asset management system and streamlined creative workflows. Requirements Minimum 7 years of people management or leadership experience. At least 10 years of experience in creative design. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, with strong knowledge of photography, video, and motion composition. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of validating concepts with senior leadership and presenting to the C-suite. Demonstrated leadership mindset with the ability to manage complex project workloads and foster cross-functional collaboration. Deep understanding of design strategy and the ability to apply analytics to interpret data and develop inventive solutions.
