Registered Nurse I

Provides coordination and direction for home nursing care according to physician orders. Applies nursing process competently based on agency policies and procedures. Responsible to the Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. Home visits are required. Periodic office meetings may be necessary. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and liability insurance. Contractor will visit 5-10 patients per day, equating to approximately 6-8 points. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and follow-up visits. Weekend requirements vary by location and profession. On-call requirements will be discussed during the interview process. Traveling must be up to 75 miles from the home clinic, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours following patient visits. Expected weekly productivity points are 30. All employees must be proficient in HomeCare HomeBase and have used it within the last six months. If not, retraining may be required during compliance. No contract hours are guaranteed. Candidates must be open to floating to another clinic to meet productivity needs. Declining patients may result in a cancellation.
