Restaurant Manager - Unit

Whataburger is looking for a Restaurant Manager to oversee a high-volume restaurant with average annual sales of $4M+ and a team of more than fifty employees. The role rotates through Customer, Quality, and People areas of responsibility to build rounded leadership skills and prepare for future Operating Partner opportunities. Champion hospitality and guest-service standards to create a friendly and fast experience. Coach, develop, and support staff to reach their full potential. Achieve restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability. Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards are upheld. Model Whataburger values and create a positive, inclusive work environment. Lead shift transitions and maintain smooth operations across all day parts. Guide talent development, training, hiring, and retention with the leadership team. Support business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Minimum age 18 years. High school diploma or GED strongly preferred or equivalent experience. Open availability for overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours, with dependable attendance. Physical ability to stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., and meet physical demands. 1–3 years of leadership experience. ServSafe Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain within training period. Valid driver’s license and sufficient automobile liability insurance in your state. Work Environment This role is based in your home restaurant, leading the team and supporting daily operations. You may also assist neighboring locations or provide leadership support within the market, and participate in business meetings, training opportunities, and leadership sessions.
