CT Technologist PRN

Job Summary CT technologist responsible for performing CT scans and procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The technologist must accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, start and administer IV contrast media, and prepare and perform scans according to established protocols. The technologist must understand radiation exposure to patients and adjust techniques based on patient body habitus, age, and the ALARA principle. This role involves direct patient care for all ages and providing high‑quality customer service by treating patients with respect, courtesy, and clear explanation of the exam. General Requirements Adheres to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines; performs job responsibilities in alignment with the organization’s core values, mission, and vision; completes all job functions per departmental policies and procedures; maintains current knowledge through self‑education and ongoing programs; attends staff meetings, mandatory in‑services, and competency evaluations on time; demonstrates competency in providing care to all patients; uses age‑specific customer service skills; wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment. Working Conditions Works in a well‑lit, air‑conditioned area with moderate noise. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids and infectious organisms. Work may require shifting between tasks without loss of efficiency or composure. Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. Hours may include overtime and variable scheduling. Education Requirements Vocational or technical degree in Radiologic Technology (required). Experience Requirements 1–2 years of CT experience (preferred).
