Position Overview: You will support import operations by ensuring the compliant, timely movement of goods into the United States, Canada, and other global markets. You will partner with internal teams and external brokers to resolve issues, manage documentation, and support regulatory reporting requirements. Your work will contribute directly to maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance across global supply chain activities, offering meaningful exposure to international trade practices and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with sourcing, logistics, and cross-functional teams to address import issues and ensure compliant shipment execution. Manage relationships with customs brokers, including responding to inquiries and ensuring timely clearance of shipments. Collect, review, and validate import documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Provide analytical support for U.S. Customs and Border Protection requests and oversee post-entry compliance processes, including corrections and filings. Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures for internal processes and external service providers. Train internal stakeholders on import requirements and compliance standards. Prepare and distribute import reports and performance metrics to support compliance monitoring and decision-making. Desired Competencies: Communication: You clearly convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment. Collaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives. Accountability: You take ownership of your responsibilities, follow through on commitments, and hold yourself to high standards for quality and results. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field required, or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Minimum 3 years of experience in import trade operations, compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, international logistics, or inventory management. Working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and import compliance practices preferred. Experience working with customs brokers or within an importer compliance function preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support regulatory decision-making.
