Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman Electrician Location: Fargo, North Dakota. Company ArchKey is a privately held specialty trade installation and integrated facility services company. Compensation Hourly rate: $43.02 per hour. Incentive pay: $100 per day Monday‑Friday, $150 per day Saturday‑Sunday. Per diem: $100 per day (non‑taxed) for candidates with a GPS radius of 100 miles or more from the job site. Position Overview Requires a state Journeyman License; must reciprocate in North Dakota within 30 days of hire. This role will eventually join the Local IBEW Union. Responsibilities Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes. Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions or equipment failures on‑site. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Plan layout and installation of electrical systems for construction or renovation projects. Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on electrical components and systems. Test electrical systems using specialized tools (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc.). Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate work completion. Document all work performed, including repairs, replacements, and system updates. Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and industry regulations. Provide field reports and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades. Ideal Candidate Has field experience as an electrician on large projects. Holds a state journeyman license. Can work autonomously and creatively solve problems. Has a growth mindset and is always looking to continually learn and grow. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school diploma or certification preferred. 1 to 3 years of industry experience performing work in the field setting. Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Open to learning new skills and willing to accept feedback for continuous improvement. Dedicated team player with strong customer service orientation. Must pass drug screening.
