Field Service Technician I

Position Summary Field Service Technicians are responsible for cleaning, refurbishing, sharpening, and repairing precision surgical instruments. The role works collaboratively with senior technicians and provides support under moderate supervision. Responsibilities Repair surgical instruments with guidance from senior technicians. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers. Manage customers to meet or exceed expectations. Partner with sales teams to grow business in assigned territory. Accurately and timely repair precision surgical instruments. Manage on‑site repairs, maintenance and testing of assigned instruments and equipment. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Produce timely daily work orders. Update customer reports as needed. Cooperate with sales and technical teams to share information across the organization. Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations. Maintain regular cleaning of work area and company equipment. Comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in quality manual. Embodies company’s vision, mission and values. Management reserves the right to modify work assignments as required. Qualifications High school diploma required. Experience with machining or handling delicate metal instruments desirable. Clear communication to customers, colleagues and management required. Technical degree desirable. Computer knowledge required. Occasional overtime and shift changes required as per customer needs. Physical Demands May need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Regular sitting, talking, handling, standing and walking required.
