Operations Support Specialist

Reporting to Corporate Leadership and supporting site operations, the Operations Support Specialist is responsible for supporting site performance through continuous improvement, cost savings, innovation, equipment optimization, and operational initiatives. This position works closely with site leadership, corporate teams, and the customer to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen processes, and support the successful execution of the Global Manufacturing System (GMS) and DFM Solutions' operational standards.

Primary Goals and Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and ongoing execution of Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles and requirements.
• Partner with site leadership to identify, develop, implement, and track cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements related to labor, equipment, materials, processes, productivity, quality, and service delivery.
• Research and recommend innovative solutions, technologies, equipment, and processes that improve operational efficiency and customer service.
• Support the evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of equipment utilized within site operations.
• Track cost savings, operational improvements, and other site initiatives and provide regular updates on progress and results.
• Assist with developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations for proposed equipment, technology, and process improvements.
• Provide hands-on support to site leadership with operational projects, customer initiatives, process improvements, and other site priorities.
• Analyze operational data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improved productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Assist with developing and standardizing processes, procedures, and best practices to promote consistency and sustainability.
• Coordinate with corporate departments and site leadership to ensure operational initiatives align with company and customer objectives.
• Participate in customer meetings, operational reviews, GMS activities, and continuous improvement discussions as required.
• Assist with equipment trials, implementation, training, and evaluation to ensure expected operational benefits are achieved.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to improvement initiatives, cost savings, equipment evaluations, and operational projects.
• Serve as a resource to site leadership by helping troubleshoot operational challenges and identify practical solutions.
• Support special projects and additional operational needs as assigned by site or corporate leadership.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Demonstrate role model behavior for safety, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Ensure all activities comply with DFM Solutions and customer safety, quality, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, facilities management, operations, continuous improvement, or a related environment preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, operational excellence, or manufacturing systems preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and support cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to evaluate operational processes and equipment and develop practical recommendations for improvement.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business applications.
• Ability to develop reports, presentations, and business cases and effectively communicate findings to leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with corporate leadership, site operations, employees, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach.
