A prestigious U.S. law firm with a highly regarded Energy Law Practice. The Firm represents energy developers, suppliers, utilities, and market participants in complex regulatory, compliance, litigation, and transactional matters.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Advise clients on energy regulatory and compliance matters related to:
\n
• Solar, energy storage, retail electric supply, and gas supply
\n
• Participate in regulatory litigation before state public utility commissions
\n
• Support transactional and commercial energy matters as needed
\n
• Draft regulatory filings, pleadings, and client advisories
\n
• Work on multiple sophisticated matters with initial guidance and progressively greater responsibility
\n
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys within the Energy Law Group
\n
• Maintain a strong commitment to client service and responsiveness
\n
• Participate in practice group initiatives and business development efforts
\n

Candidate Requirements:

\n
• 2+ years of private practice or government experience related to energy law
\n
• At least 1 year of experience practicing before a state public utility commission
\n
• Experience with traditional and non-traditional rate cases, investigations, approvals, complaints, rulemakings, and/or retail energy approvals
\n
• Experience advising on energy regulatory compliance
\n
• Strong interest in energy law and regulatory policy
\n
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and legal writing skills
\n
• Solid academic credentials
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters and grow responsibility over time
\n
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
\n

Certifications:

\n
• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent.
\n
• Admission to the State Bar in the state where the candidate resides or practices.
\n
