Job Description

Savard is hiring a CPA in Baton Rouge, LA
Savard is seeking an experienced CPA to provide hands-on accounting leadership, financial reporting, and support for the company's accounting operations and financial processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, a solid understanding of GAAP, and strong ERP knowledge, including experience with accounting system implementations, conversions, or transitions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounting operations, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support ERP implementation, system conversion, data migration, account mapping, testing, and reconciliation.
  • Assist with the transition to Sage and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, tax compliance, and audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to accounting staff.
  • Assist management with financial analysis and accounting-related decisions.
Qualifications
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Strong ERP/accounting systems knowledge with implementation or conversion experience.
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounting platforms preferred.
  • Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
  • Full benefits package including Health Insurance and PTO after 90 days.
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Hybrid: Combination of on-site and remote work.
  • Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
