Social Worker - Behavioral Health

Psychiatric Clinician (LICSW / MHC / MFT) – Emergency Department

Schedule: Shift: Days, 07:00–19:30 Weekends: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

Requirements: Required licensure: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Required certification: BLS Minimum 1 year clinical experience Experience conducting crisis/risk assessments for adults and pediatrics

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis and risk assessments for adult and pediatric patients.
• Provide brief intervention and individual/family counseling.
• Coordinate care and facilitate referrals to home care, rehabilitation, and long-term care.
• Document assessments and treatment plans to support care coordination.
• Work with protective services and understand involuntary hold processes.

Compliance / Notes: Compliance documents due the Monday prior to start. Requested time off (RTO) must be declared at submittal; post-submission RTO may not be approved. References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years (can include Charge RNs/Leads). Travelers may be expected to float to sister facilities; refusal may risk termination. Pre-start modules required (typically ~16 hours); completion tracked in Workramp.
