Now under new management with Greenbrier Senior Living , we are building a strong, resident-focused team committed to hospitality, quality, and service. We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Full-Time Cook who takes pride in preparing great food and enjoys being part of a team where their work makes a difference every day. What You’ll Do As a Cook, you will help provide residents with high-quality, enjoyable dining experiences. Responsibilities include: Prepare meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and resident dietary needs. Ensure food is prepared and served at the proper temperature, portion, quality, and presentation. Assist with menu planning and preparation for daily meals and special events. Follow therapeutic and modified diet requirements as directed. Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and infection control. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and properly clean cooking equipment and work areas. Monitor food quality and communicate supply or preparation needs to the supervisor. Work collaboratively with the dining services and community teams to provide excellent service to residents. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen, and committed to providing excellent service to seniors. At least 1 year of cooking or food-service experience required . Senior living, healthcare, restaurant, or similar high-volume food-service experience preferred. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED preferred.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, portion control, and proper food handling.Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled .Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds unassisted .
