Job Overview
SurePoint Safety is seeking a skilled HSE Safety Specialist (in construction) to provide on-site safety support across active construction project in York, PA.

 

This is a local, Full-time onsite assignment running through October 2026. The selected candidate will work directly with project team to support oversight and compliance. This position works directly with project teams to reinforce safe work practices and ensure jobsite compliance.

Compensation: $40 Per hr 1099/ 100 per day per diem 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections, assessments, and audits
• Identify hazards and unsafe behaviors, support corrective actions
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAS/AHAs) and pre-task planning
• Support incident investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations
• Deliver toolbox talks and reinforce safety expectations in the field
• Track and document safety observations, trends, and corrective actions.
• Provide coaching and feedback to field personnel

 

Required Qualifications

• 3-7 years of construction or industrial safety experience
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on active job sites
• Comfortable in fast-paced construction environments
• Must be dependable and responsive for project needs

 

Preferred Credentials

• OSHA 30 (required)
• OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500
• CSP, ASP, CHST, OR GSP certification
• Experience supporting contractor safety programs

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, and navigate active construction areas
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds

 

Additional Information

• Local position (no per diem or travel provided)
• Project-based role anticipated to run through October

Experience:

 

• Safety Experience in Construction Industry: 3 years (Required)

 

License/Certification:

 

• OSHA 30 (Required)
