Pediatric ER RN Job Details Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27157 Facility: Pediatric Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma, Academic Medical Center Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel RN Start Date: September 29, 2025 End Date: December 27, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:30 – 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Holiday Coverage: 75% of holidays during assignment Scrub Color: Royal Blue Parking: Free employee parking Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,470 - $1,570 Pediatric ER RN Qualifications Current and active RN license in North Carolina or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent Level 1 Pediatric Emergency Department RN experience BLS certification PALS certification TNCC certification Proficiency in pediatric IV placement and emergency nursing skills Strong experience with trauma and critically ill pediatric patients preferred Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors is a plus Pediatric ER RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, respiratory distress, fractures, seizures, and oncology emergencies Perform rapid assessments and emergency interventions for acutely ill children Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR Contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit culture focused on safety, family-centered care, and professional growth Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Ready to take the next step in your pediatric nursing career?
