Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview:

Amergis Healthcare is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum opportunity in Williston, ND. This role is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced walk-in clinic environment and is comfortable performing minor procedures.

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts/week (Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM)

Requirements:

• Certifications: BLS, DEA, Board Certification
• Licensure: Active ND license
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar setting
• Background: Clean malpractice history
• Procedures: Must be comfortable with I&D, suturing, and sensitive exams
• EMR Experience: Allscripts AEHR

Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical exams and diagnose/treat within protocol
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and recommend treatments
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle habits
• Perform minor office procedures (I&D, suturing)
• Document visits within 24 hours
• Collaborate with nursing and provider teams to ensure efficient patient flow
• Handle acute care cases such as coughs, colds, UTIs, rashes, and minor injuries

Patient Volume:

• Up to 35 patients per day depending on walk-ins and case complexity
• Support Staff

Travel & Lodging:

• Pass-through arrangement available

Credentialing:

• Estimated timeframe: 30 days
