Maintenance Technician I Join the Burke Mountain Resort Team! Burke Mountain Resort is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician I to help maintain the safety, appearance, and functionality of our resort facilities and grounds. This hands-on position is responsible for general building maintenance, equipment repairs, basic carpentry, property inspections, and snow removal operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for guests and employees. Key Responsibilities* Perform general maintenance and repairs on resort buildings, grounds, walkways, and public areas. Respond to and complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs across multiple departments. Operate snow removal equipment and maintain safe pedestrian travel ways during winter conditions. Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs. Follow all safety policies and emergency procedures. Build positive working relationships with coworkers, guests, and vendors. Support departmental operations and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous maintenance, construction, or related experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of building maintenance, tools, and repair techniques. Strong communication, problemsolving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Valid Vermont Driver's License required and ability to meet the requirements of Burke Mountain Resort's commercial auto insurance policy. Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditions. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, ice, rain, and extreme temperatures. Ability to safely navigate steep terrain, stairways, multilevel buildings, and winter resort environments.
