Field Inspector - South Jersey

Salary Range: $72,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually About the Role: The Field Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards across various sites. Municipal Inspection Corporation is seeking a highly qualified New Jersey Licensed Elevator Inspector to join our team. Full or Part Time positions are available in the Code & Construction Depart for Elevator Inspectors. This position involves conducting thorough inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify any potential hazards or violations. The Field Inspector will be responsible for documenting findings and providing actionable recommendations to improve safety and operational efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for performing technical inspections and witnessing tests to ensure strict adherence to the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC) standard for New Jersey, enforcing subcode regulations. Performing inspections for new and existing installations within the South Jersey Areas. By collaborating with various stakeholders, the inspector will help foster a culture of safety and compliance within the organization. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to protect the well-being of employees and the public while ensuring that all operations meet regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a field inspection role or related position. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. Comprehensive understanding of the NJ Uniform Construction Code (UCC) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Engineering. Certification in safety inspection or a related area. Experience with risk assessment and hazard analysis. Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections of job sites to assess compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports outlining any violations or areas for improvement. Collaborate with site managers and staff to develop corrective action plans based on inspection results. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure inspections are thorough and accurate. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols and compliance measures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities to assess compliance and identify potential hazards during inspections. Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively conveying findings and recommendations to various stakeholders. Attention to detail is crucial, as the inspector must meticulously document observations and ensure accuracy in reporting. Ability to interact with tack and courtesy with workers, supervisors, contractors, owners and the general public Preferred skills, such as knowledge of risk assessment techniques, will enhance the inspector's ability to evaluate safety protocols comprehensively. Overall, a combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills will enable the Field Inspector to contribute significantly to the organization's safety culture.
